At the intersection of mind and tech. Master’s in Brain & Cognition from UPF Barcelona. Now a Neuroscience PhD student in Justin Riddle‘s lab at FSU.
Learner. From videogames I learned that self-improvement is a meta-skill to be applied in all areas of life, that life is a game.
Neuro. Dedicated to defining and solving real problems. Fascinated by EEG brain measures. Raised $5000+ for local brain-health charities.
Writer. I write essays and poems to expand thoughts and feelings on complex topics.
Data. I used data analysis software to win at poker professionally over a large sample size. I primarily work with EEG data in my PhD.
In the arena. Doer of things. Surfer, skateboarder, snowboarder.
Me in 27 Years
1998: Born.
2006-2013: Taught science lessons for my 5th grade teacher and worked on math problems at snack break. Was logical and shy with an illogical and rebellious side. Became a skateboarder, surfer, and snowboarder. Played a lot of videogames.
2016: Started undergrad at UC Santa Barbara. Felt hopelessly lost. Found like-minded entrepreneurial groups on campus. Found Psychology and self-improvement. Broke my shyness.
2019: Won the UCSB New Venture Competition. Studied abroad in Barcelona– got pickpocketed and ran with the bulls in Pamplona. Graduated UCSB early. Began writing down and organizing nearly every thought I have.
2020-2021: Worked for an IoT design & engineering agency. Fell in love with Neuro-tech, took a pay cut to pursue EEG research. Bought my own 19 channel EEG system to tinker. Began a 5 month road trip, living out of my car.
2022: Finished my road trip– 11,215 miles across 29 US states. Worked at the UC San Diego Psychiatry Department. Went in the Pacific Ocean 250/365 days. Wrote 120,000 words.
2023-2025: Did a Master’s in Gustavo Deco‘s lab in Barcelona. Put on two 250+ person galas and one 400+. Wrote 300,000+ words each year.
2026: In the thick of FSU’s Neuroscience PhD program. That’s basically what I’m up to now.
